Quarantine = Major Inner Growth

The start seemed just like an extended vacation, something I feel we desperately need in the drudgery of everyday life. I used this time to clean out my closet, finish the books on my nightstand, and reignite my artistic ability through painting. I enjoyed the empty freeway, trying out new recipes, and long phone calls with friends who I haven’t spoken to in some time. I believed this break would be short-lived and back to the routine we’d go. Now, 3 months and 3 weeks later my life has taken a major shift I could have never imagined. I was presented with a major pivot, and since I do all things with guidance from the Universe, I jumped at it. I was enlightened and decided to take risks; after all this is not a rehearsal, this is IT!  If we have taken anything from this pandemic, it’s that nothing is guaranteed or consistent. My inner growth has soared and has led me to feeling more complete than ever, even in a moment of pure chaos. I can’t tell you that we won’t still be undergoing uncertainty in the next 100+ days, but I am confident that I will have continued to make leaps towards joyful moments, gratitude for things big & small, and showing kindness in everything I do while learning to let go of anger, worry, and fear. So as devastating as this virus has been on our health, economy, and our social activities, I truly believe it has given many greater gifts for the person willing to do the introspective work.
