Your Survival Rate is 100%

Over the years I’ve gained an awareness that the obstacles I’ve encountered, the struggles that have come before me, and the lowest points in my life all serve as powerful experiences that lead to a greater purpose. Despite my greatest efforts, I too can get dragged into the current of self doubt, hopelessness, and anxiety. As an individual in the self-help industry it is especially hard when I know my mind is my most powerful tool to create abundance but every now and then still succumb to the negative inner dialogue.

When you are in the midst of your hardships and convinced you wont make it through, write a letter to yourself. Then, next time the world feels like it is closing in, pull out that letter and read it to yourself. I’ve done this and contrary to what I believed in that moment, I persevered and always will.

The termination from your job, the heart-wrenching break up, or the avalanche of medical bills might have you feeling like there is no way you are going to make it and what you are going through is unbearable. Yet, here you are. I can’t promise you wont encounter future troubles and distress, but what I can assure you is it will be temporary.

Gratitude can be such a powerful tool so I urge that the next time negative thoughts are circling in your mind, stop and acknowledge the things you are grateful for. I may not even know you, but I can tell you there is a plethora of things you should be grateful for. You are blessed with your eyesight to be able to read these words, you have the luxury of a phone or computer that you are currently using to access this website, you probably have had something to eat in the last 24 hours, and I’d bet you have a key that opens up the door to a place you call home.

With a new year upon us, let’s quiet that negative voice in our minds and start each day with a grateful heart. Cheers to an amazing 2020!
